Celebrating Amazing Local Businesses | Business of The Month

We’re thrilled to recognize the First United Methodist Church in Pocatello as our Business of the Month for December. This choice came straight from our staff, who consistently rave about how wonderful the church members are to work with. Every call feels like catching up with an old friend — friendly, gracious, and always a bright spot in our day. Their kindness alone would’ve earned them a nomination, but their impact on the community makes this recognition even more fitting.

The First United Methodist Church plays an active and heartfelt role in making Pocatello stronger. Their congregation is deeply committed to creating a more connected, compassionate community, and they put that mission into practice in meaningful ways. They run programs that support families, provide resources to those in need, and create opportunities for people to come together. Their partnership with Tender Loving Care Childcare – helping advocate for accessible childcare, donating supplies, and supporting teachers – is just one example of how they invest in local families and respond to real community needs.

They’re also focused on fostering belonging for people of all ages and backgrounds. Their table-based ministry creates intentional spaces for connection, while their emphasis on youth and children ensures young people are supported, included, and encouraged. Whether they’re building relationships, organizing service efforts, or lending a hand where it’s needed most, the church leads with kindness and purpose.

Their approach to service is a great example of what we call Blue Cow Service – showing up with heart, thinking creatively, and finding ways to make life easier and better for the people around them. We’re inspired by the work they do and grateful for the chance to support them in theirs.
