Why we support the Make-A-Wish Idaho Foundation
Did you know nearly half the Wishes granted in Idaho are from Southeast Idaho – Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Rexburg, etc. But, only 3-4% of the funding comes from that part of the state! We are always looking for ways to give back to our community, which is why Porter’s Office Products is proud to sponsor the Make A Wish Foundation.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® traces its beginning to one boy’s wish to be a Police Officer, and to date, more than 170,000 wishes have been granted to children with life-threatening medical conditions in the United States and its territories. There are Make-A-Wish Foundation chapters serving all areas of the United States, as well as international affiliates spanning five continents. Each chapter is responsible for granting wishes for eligible children within its designated geographic area and for raising the funds to fulfill those wishes.

How We’ve Helped
At Porter’s Office Products, giving back is part of who we are. One of our favorite ways to do that is through supporting Make-A-Wish Idaho and their incredible mission to bring hope and joy to children with critical illnesses.
In 2023, we proudly joined the second annual Walk for Wishes SE Idaho. Our team rallied together and raised $496. While it fell short of our goal, it was a meaningful first step – and a heartfelt way to show our support for this inspiring cause.
By 2024, we were determined to reach our goal of $1,000 – and we did it! Thanks to the generosity of our team, customers, and community, we hit $1,000 right on the nose. It was a reminder of what’s possible when we work together.
In 2025, we raised the bar again and we’re thrilled to share that we surpassed our goal! With a target of $1,000, we ended the campaign with $1,069 raised for Make-A-Wish Idaho. Every dollar goes directly toward granting life-changing wishes to Idaho kids, and we couldn’t be more honored to be a part of that magic.
We’re already looking ahead to 2026 and can’t wait to continue the tradition. Whether we’re lacing up our shoes for the Walk for Wishes or spreading the word to our customers and friends, we believe in making every step count.
