JOB DESCRIPTION
Porter’s Office Products is an established and fast-growing company, searching for a Furniture Design Specialist working in our Rexburg, Idaho location. Business hours will be Monday through Friday—with no weekends! This immediate, FULL-TIME position is perfect for someone who has a design background, is highly organized and able to handle multiple projects, has excellent communications skills, outstanding follow-through, and loves to bring great service to customers.

BASIC SKILLS
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED SKILLS
Familiarity with CET Designer drafting software or something similar (AutoCAD, Revit, CAP/2020, etc.)
Knowledge of commercial office furniture specification
Experience in Interior Design, specifically space planning and finish selection
Experience working directly with customers to find solutions to problems
A minimum of two (2) years in a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Consult with customers and sales team to provide professional solutions in the specification, layout, design and space planning of furniture.
Travel to customer location as needed for measurement, consulting, and presentations.
Meet with Architect and Design firms within our territory to establish relationships and create furniture referral and sales opportunities.
Provide furniture expertise to Team Members on all areas of furniture from product selection and color choices to application of products.
Acquire complete working knowledge of our design and ordering software programs.
Create professional custom quotes, designs, and presentations for our customers. Turn quotes into orders, verifying accuracy and obtain signed quotes and Terms and Conditions contracts.
Verify all orders are accurate before placing purchase order with vendors.
Coordinate furniture installations, update schedule, communicate and coordinate with customers, sales reps, the in-house installer and/or 3rd party installers.
Collect and coordinate punch list items to be completed to customer’s satisfaction.
Invoice projects immediately after completion.
Process and schedule warranty and repair requests.
Professionally greet and work with customers on the showroom floor.
Responsible for design and upkeep of our Furniture Showrooms.
