Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Although we have many great festivities happening this month, we do want to take a few moments to remember that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month synthroid 25 mcg.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) was founded in 1985 as a partnership between the American Cancer Society and the pharmaceutical division of Imperial Chemical Industries, maker of several antibreast cancer drugs.

In the fall of 1991, the Susan G. Komen Foundation handed out pink ribbons to participants in it’s New York City race for breast cancer survivors. Then, in 1993, Alexandra Penney, editor in chief of the women’s health magazine Self, and Evelyn Lauder, breast cancer survivor and Senior Corporate Vice President of the Estée Lauder Companies, founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and established the pink ribbon as its symbol.

Not only do these products match the supportive pink color, but a portion of the proceeds from these products will be donated to breast cancer research.
